Hi,
My brother is coming to USA on L1 visa.
His wife has a valid H1-B stamped. However, her employer cannot send her to US for the next 6-7 months.
Can she come to US on L2 and then transfer her H1-B if whe finds a job here in US? Or will her H1-B get immidiately cancelled as soon as she enters US on L2?

On June 20, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before you get your new card call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

My priority date is in 10/2006 under EB3. My wife just start her GC process under EB2. Can my wife port my PD date to her GC application?

My PD is 09/2002. I have already renewed EAD for 3 times. Still I have been using my H1, not on EAD. Due to lot of expenses, I don't want to renew EAD again. Current EAD is expiring in September. Is that okay? or better renew? Thanks.

Please help me, married a us citizen right after 3 months I have my green card in 08 we got into a fight and she divorced me 2 months later and finally decreee june 2008. we are back together and live in the same house hold and in feb 2010 when my green card expire and I need to file to remove the condition, I dont know what I or we need to do?? is this the better way is for us go down to court house and get married again? we still have banking account together and bill together>
Please let me know what is the best for my situation.

Supposed my I-485 was approved, am I legally required to go to USCIS, surrender my I-94 card and get a I-551 stamp? Could I just wait for GC to come in the mail?
The card is taking just a few days to arrive these days. Just wait for a few more days. You need the I-485 approval notice to get I-551 stamp.
But I'm sure you won't need it.

Can you please explain why it is restrictive compared to H1B?
Are you telling it because of 2 year home residency rule and getting waivers?

I just got a letter from USCIS saying that I need to get a police clearance(b/c my fingerprints are unclassifiable) within 30 days otherwise it may result in the denial of my application.
I am now out of states working for my U.S. employer's overseas branch and can't go back to US until end of Aug. Is there anyway I can ask USCIS to give me some extention period?
