Just an update from my side:
I have just talked local Congresswoman's Office and I have talked to a staff member for 1 hour and she is helping me. She is going to call NSC and get to the root cause of this problem.

Just remember.. if we are not united, we ain't getting nothing. Lets work on Recapture of wasted numbers. Thats the only inflow we can rely on. We don't have to wait for their charity every month in the name of left over numbers or spill over numbers. We want our legal GCs. We worked hard to earn it. reddog, please explain how you have supported IV in the past in non-monetary ways. For lobbying, there is not much you can do other than support monetarily,or make trips to DC yourself.
I am sure IV core will at least consider such non-monetary support on case-by-case basis.

Instead of doing all of this, First, if we able to make every one just take one day off from work on the same day through out the USA and let our employers and the press knows that we are doing this to show about our issues. We do not need to go on rally. At least if we take off on the same day through out USA to make sure people understand about our issues and our sufferings. I am not sure how it will help. At least if we make it to be notified by the government, .press, our employers. and the public about our issues.

I just wanted to find out if anybody received email feedback from USCIS once they opened SR with USCIS? Do they even provide any feedback on SR???
I created the SR to check the status of my AP on Jan 8th and have bot heard anything back yet.

Even if you had applied then when single, no difference my friend.
One still needs to retain the H1 so their dependants could have the H4. So, until the dates open up again there is no end in sight for the other benefits such as EAD etc.
If it is any solace, you actually did not miss the boat!

I'm on H1 and my wife is on H4. We have both got our EADs and have visa stamps till Jun 2010.
Can my wife switch to the EAD status and start working even though I remain on H1 status till my visa expiry? Is this allowed?
If yes, then can she travel on AP while I'm still on H1 visa?
If we're both re-entering the US, can the IO ask why is the spouse on EAD/AP and not the primary applicant?

A lot of employers are willing to sponsor Schedule A applications, as far as you get your own lawyer & bare the costs, especially if they don't have an immigration department. So you may want to let them know that you have a lawyer who can file as soon as. Some employers already have the employment notice.
You may already know these, but here goes

He is 100% right. Unless USCIS hire people, our EADs and APs will get delayed. People like me have travel plans in Jan. I do not want to go for Visa stamping. I am concerned.
So what's your point ? Do not understand what your concern is, consult with your lawyer, if you are concerned but dont see the point here.
